  Dan Roth built a home for us about a year ago. We were very disappointed in Dan's work. There were a number of problems off the bat and rather than working with us to resolve them, Dan took an adversarial stance. In particular, Dan claimed he made an error in estimating the cost of our windows and wouldn't honor his price. He then held up construction for 2 months until we found different windows from a different supplier and paid him extra for them. We had to do that ourselves, as Dan refused to resolve the problem. Despite the fact that he gave us a competitive written bid, he wouldn't honor it and forced us into a position to either accept what he wanted or delay construction further, which would have had numerous effects on our construction loan and resulting costs to us. There were a number of other problems, too many to list, that we had with Dan. We would never use Dan again. We'd gladly pay a better contractor more money to do the work right and treat us with respect.
